Before we started the open call, two photographers were already supported by MIAP to make work within the theme ‘The future of nature’.
One of them is Suzette Bousema.
Suzette Bousema visualizes environmental hyperobjects in her science based practice.
With the MIAP grant she has been working on her new project ‘Dinoflagellates’.
The project shows 50 million year old fossil plankton, drilled up from the seabed around Antarctica, which can tell us about the climate in the past, but also about the possible climate of the future if we use up all fossil fuels on the planet.
